Max Richter, the German-British composer, has collaborated with Comme des Garçons Parfums to create a unique and visionary fragrance – a sensory interpretation of Richter’s musical world, where each note reflects elements from his creative universe.
Inspired by objects central to his life and work, the fragrance conveys a memory story that carries Richter’s attention to detail and his ability to blend tradition with innovation.


“In’ve always wanted to compose a perfume because, in my mind, scent and sound are sisters. In both mediums, you work with what you don’t yet know, and that is really exciting to me,” says Max Richter.

01 offers a deeper sensory journey, evoking the essence of his music, where each ingredient is carefully chosen to create a complex yet balanced scent.
With notes of graphite, vetiver, cedar from piano soundboards, rosin from violin bows, and magnetic tape, this Eau de Toilette invites you into a unique experience where fragrance and music intertwine.
