" When I came up with the concept of "Editeur de Parfums" ten years ago, I was determined to release perfumers from the various types of restrictions that often accompany marketers and focus groups.
I work the same way that an editor works with authors. I give these "scent authors" total freedom to explore and express their ideas. Each perfume maker is free to use the most innovative technology and the rarest raw materials the industry has to offer.
This freedom drives the artist to construct a scent without conventional limits and to refine his idea and formula into the smallest detail.
Once done, I publish it on "Editions de Parfumes Frederic Malle."
