Mecanique du Desir

Inspired by the many hours he spent in his father´s garage as a child, Pierre Guillaume has created the fragrance Mécanique du Désir. He describes it as that the scents in the garage were both attractive and repulsive, they were associated with happy moments, but the sharp scents of tar, gasoline and oil also disturbed him.

Many years later, he has come to appreciate the scents and decided to use them as a theme in his work, resulting in Mécanique du Désir. His dirty engine grease will have the warmth of amber and animalic musks, tinged with the strange blackness of a guaiac wood and violet leaf accord. The sulfurous notes of cassis bud mixed with aldehydes will trace metallic outlines, while mandarin essential oil will add the gleam of chrome.
