21:50 Rêverie captures the ambiance of Javanese nights, where the grassy scent of tobacco leaves is carried by the evening breeze; a trace of plum on another’s lips; the raw earthiness of vanilla pods and tonka beans blending with the robust base of cedarwood.

21:50 Rêverie reawakens a memory of transformation, inspired by the dreamlike valleys of Java. In 2001, on the brink of a new chapter in her life, Victoria and David travel to the remote heart of Java. Surrounded by the depths of the rainforest, she experiences a catharsis, embraced and enchanted by the island’s ancient, aromatic nature.

At an open-air dinner, surrounded by rice fields and vanilla vines as far as the eye can see, the landscape is illuminated by thousands of lights as the clock strikes 21:50 and dusk obscures the mountain skyline. In the Javanese night, the landscape feels like a dream: a reverie, a moment of clarity and reinvention, rooted in the organic purity of the landscape and its gentle winds of change.
